A young kobold and a young blue dragon off seeking their fortunes. Skir's parents are casualties of war, and she's been on her own for some time, while Windchime ran away from the stifling expectations of her parents. Windchime is significantly older than her friend, and finds herself occasionally falling into a maternal role, but when it boils down to it, their both barely adults in the eyes of either of their societies, and happy to be off on their own, causing trouble.

The scorpion on a string is a nod to the 2nd edition Monster Manual.
